The City of Steamboat Springs Police Department is hiring police officers to join our team in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. You will perform patrols, investigations, traffic control and related law enforcement activities across rotating shifts, handling emergencies and complex incidents with professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older at time of employment.
• Valid State driver’s license without suspension.
• No felony convictions in past seven years.
• U.S. citizen.
• Must read and write English.
• Certified Peace Officer.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related duties.
• Respond to emergencies, accidents, robberies and disturbances.
• Conduct follow-up investigations and collect evidence.
• Prepare reports, testify in court, and coordinate with other agencies.
• Engage in community policing and traffic safety initiatives.
