Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned area by vehicle, bicycle, or on foot to observe and report suspicious activities.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls to protect life and property and enforce laws.
  • Investigate crimes, collect and preserve evidence, interview victims and suspects, and prepare reports.
  • Direct traffic and issue citations or warnings as needed.
  • Appear in court to testify and present evidence.
  • Provide information and direction to the public and participate in community policing.
