Village of Hanover Park, Illinois invites applications for a probationary Police Officer. Starting pay is $86,286.09 with a probationary period. Upon completion, salary ranges from $88,047.02 to $121,454.73, reflecting experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of age and under 35 by application date.
• Associate degree or 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours, OR military service equiv.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
• POWER card issued within the last 365 days.
• No felony convictions and good moral character.
• 35-mile residency requirement after one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol, traffic control and enforcement in a designated area.
• Assist in investigations and provide first aid during emergencies.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into criminal and non-criminal activity.
• Serve as Juvenile Officer and liaise with State Attorney's office.
• Prepare reports and court documentation for dispositions.
• Enforce village ordinances and state laws; provide community presence.
