Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of specialized training in the field and basic high school education.
• Experience to understand the major duties of the position.
• Valid North Dakota driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to meet POST Certification requirements for North Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the city to deter crime and traffic violations.
• Respond to calls for service including domestic disputes and accidents.
• Investigate incidents, interview victims and witnesses, collect evidence.
• Arrest offenders and provide backup to other officers.
• Assist motorists and direct traffic for events.
• Complete all required reports and maintain equipment and vehicles.
