Updated: March 12, 2025. The Willoughby Civil Service Commission is establishing an eligibility list for the position of Patrol Officer. Eligibility lists are valid for one (1) year with a possible extension of an additional year. Scores and all required documentation must be submitted by April 18, 2025.

Job Classification: Patrol Officer. Salary Information: $89,273 per year after probation.

Eligibility Criteria

• One of the following must be possessed and uploaded: a valid Ohio Peace Officer's Certification, an equivalent State Peace Officer's Training Certification, proof of current enrollment in an Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Academy, a copy of an Associate's degree in law enforcement (or similar major), a copy of a Bachelor's degree (any major), or a copy of an honorable discharge from the military (DD214). Degree must be possessed at the time of application – no exceptions.
• Additional documentation required (upload through NTN website): a copy of a current driver's license from any state, a copy of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
