Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years and up to four years credit in experience as a certified Law Enforcement Officer.
• Must possess a valid/current certification as a Law Enforcement Officer within the United States.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must pass county screening, hiring procedures and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Patrol county areas and roads, respond to calls, enforce traffic safety, and deter crime.
• Conduct roving/targeted patrols and neighborhood watch training.
• Carry out field interviews, interrogations, arrests, and investigations as needed.
• Assist investigators at major crime scenes and aid citizens; provide traffic control.
• Appear in court, serve civil and criminal paperwork, transport prisoners as needed.
• Prepare paperwork and maintain positive public relations; operate all equipment safely.
• Provide security for courts and judges; enforce laws and ordinances.
• Follow officer safety practices and perform other duties.
