Freeborn County Government is seeking a Patrol Deputy to patrol county and state roads, respond to emergencies, and work with SWAT and drone operations as needed. You will support detectives and other agencies while maintaining thorough documentation and reporting.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field, MN POST license or eligibility, and a valid MN driver’s license. Starting wage is $36.62–$49.13 per hour with annual COLA and step increases.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associates degree in Law Enforcement or equivalent.
• Minnesota POST licensure or eligibility at time of employment.
• Minnesota driver’s license is required.

Responsabilités

• Patrol Freeborn County to protect and respond to the public, preserving law and order across county roads and highways.
• Assist local police and other agencies in crashes, domestic incidents, fights, burglaries, thefts, and events.
• Conduct routine patrols with traffic enforcement in cities and county parks.
• Investigate crashes and crimes, collect evidence, and preserve statements.
• Prepare and file reports; serve civil and legal paperwork; testify in court.
• Maintain firearms, taser, and other equipment; participate in court cases and training.
