Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Patrol Deputy to provide general law enforcement services in Rio Blanco County, Colorado. Responsibilities include enforcing state and county laws, responding to incidents, investigating violations, and supporting allied agencies.

Candidate must hold the POST Basic Certificate, First Aid/CPR, and a valid Colorado driver’s license. A strong emphasis on community relations and physical readiness is required for a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• POST Basic Certificate is required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license and insurability under County policy.

Responsibilities

• Enforces Colorado laws and Rio Blanco County ordinances.
• Responds to calls, accidents, and rescue operations.
• Arrests violators and conducts investigations.
• Assists other law enforcement and emergency services.
• Maintains equipment, vehicles, and records.
• Promotes community relations and professionalism.
• Completes required training and reports.
