Job summary

Rio Blanco County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a Patrol Deputy to provide general law enforcement services within Rio Blanco County. Responsibilities include enforcing laws, responding to calls, making arrests, and assisting allied agencies.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a current POST Basic Certificate, along with a valid Colorado driver’s license and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession of Basic POST certificate and First Aid/CPR card required.
• Colorado driver’s license and insurability under county policy required.

Responsibilities

• Enforces Colorado and Rio Blanco County laws and ordinances.
• Responds to calls for service, accidents, and SAR operations.
• Arrests violators and conducts criminal/traffic investigations.
• Operates within the Incident Command System and uses law enforcement databases.
