Job summary

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking a POST-certified Law Enforcement Officer with at least three years of sworn experience, plus two years as a Field Training Officer or POST skills instructor. The Patrol Corporal will supervise deputies, coordinate patrol operations, and support community safety initiatives in Lake County, Colorado.

Eligible candidates will have strong communication skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• P.O.S.T certification is required for this role.
• Three (3) years sworn law enforcement experience.
• Two (2) years as Field Training Officer or POST skills instructor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and coordinate deputy activities on an assigned beat or unit.
• Develop goals and procedures for operations and own SOPs for assigned services.
• Monitor activities and recommend process improvements and policy changes.
• Coordinate services with other divisions and external agencies.
• Prepare reports, manage records, and provide public information per policy.
