Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Patient Account Representative/Collector for the Texas Business Center in Denton, TX. The role focuses on billing, follow-up, and collection of patient accounts by contacting patients, insurers, and third-party payers to resolve balances.

Responsibilities include providing billing information, managing collections professionally, and analyzing accounts to ensure accurate insurance payments per contracts and patient shares.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a health care collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a health care business office environment.
• Experience with insurance billing and basic computer software programs (Excel) preferred.

Position Summary

The Texas Business Center, located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Account Representative/Collector. The Patient Account Representative/Collector is responsible for the billing, follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting patients, insurance companies and third-party payers to resolve all outstanding owed balances; works closely with collection agencies for bad debt recovery.
