Job summary

Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA is recruiting Transport Team members to move patients, items, and equipment between nursing units and destinations within the hospital. You’ll follow dispatch tasks and supervisor directions to meet departmental productivity standards.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required.
• 6 months of movement of ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients or 2+ years of military service.

Responsibilities

• Move patients, items, and equipment between nursing units and destinations within the hospital.
• Respond to tasks assigned by the Transport-Tracking automated dispatch system and supervisor.
• Support departmental productive standards through timely, safe patient transport.

Job description

Transport performs duties involving the movement of patients, items, and equipment to and from various nursing units and destinations within the hospital. The transporters' primary focus is to respond to and complete tasks within the departmental productive standards, these tasks are assigned to them by the Transport-Tracking automated dispatch system and their supervisor.
