Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a part-time patient transporter in Tyler, TX to move patients safely between inpatient areas and other departments. You will retrieve medical records, lab results, supplies, and medications as needed to support department flow, while maintaining and cleaning equipment.

• BLS certification is required.

Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies and medications as required. Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow. Maintains and cleans equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process.
• Monitors the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis.
• Knowledge of patient safety, basic transportation equipment, infection control processes, clerical skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and good communication and organizational skills.
