Job summary

TheraDynamics in the Tri-State area is seeking a Full Patient Transporter to support therapists by moving residents, assisting with treatment areas, and ensuring safety during transport.

The role emphasizes independent work, participation in mandatory in-service programs, and opportunities for growth through a mentorship program and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Goal oriented and self-motivated.
• Well-organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transfer of residents/patients between staff and treatment areas.
• Transport residents to/from therapy treatment areas.
• Monitor residents during exercise routines.
• Assist with set-up/clean-up of treatment areas.
• Assist with cleaning and distribution of wheelchairs and equipment.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with clerical duties (copying, faxing, filing, phones).
• Keep work area neat and orderly.
• Ensure residents' safety during transport and in treatment areas.
• Respond to instructions and complete tasks independently.

Full Patient Transporter Job Description

• Assist unit staff with transfer of residents/patients as necessary.
• Transports residents and patients to/from therapy treatment areas.
• Monitors residents and patients during exercise routines.
• Assists with set-up/clean-up of treatment areas.
• Assists with the cleaning and distribution of wheelchairs.

• Assists with clerical duties (i.e., copying, faxing, filing, answering phones, etc.).
• Keeps work area neat and orderly.
• Maintains residents' and patients' safety during transport and while assisting in treatment area.
• Responds well to instructions and guidance, finds solutions to work related problems, and completes assignments independently, not requiring constant supervision.
• Attends and participates in required and MANDATORY in-service educational programs, on the job training programs, etc. as directed and/or scheduled.
