Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a patient transporter to move patients and equipment throughout the hospital and clinics. No clinical license is required; you will assist with transfers, transport belongings, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

This full-time day shift (11:00am-7:30pm) offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum rate of $15.25 per hour, plus up to shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Geisinger provides comprehensive benefits and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to operate hospital transport systems.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment via wheelchair or gurney.
• Assist with transfers to and from transport.
• Move patient belongings and deceased to designated areas.
• Ensure patient identification and proper transport documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to support patient care.
