Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital, a member of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Driver to safely transport patients to and from the facility and to assist with vehicle maintenance and cleanliness. The role emphasizes service excellence, patient safety, and collaboration with outpatient staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a Texas driver’s license, and CPR/HWC Crisis Intervention training, with preference for those with prior patient-transport experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One (1) year of transportation services experiences preferred. Priority given to applicants with experience transporting patients.
• Must maintains a valid, class specific Texas driver’s license applicable to the transportation of patients.
• CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work (Can be obtained upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility.
• Responsible for the van log ensuring that the address and phone numbers are updated.
• Communicate and consult with the Department Director and/or other appropriate staff members regarding patient care issues and information.
• Report all van maintenance problems to the Director, Outpatient Services
• Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times.
• Demonstrate responsibility and sound judgment regarding patient safety.
• Participate in the therapeutic relationship with patients, as required.
