Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent is required.
• CPR Certification - issued by AHA (onboarding if offered).
• Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (onboarding if offered).
• 1-year prior hospital experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Transports patient throughout the hospital.
• Observes for and reports safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
• Transports patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs within the hospital campus.
• Reports concerns of patients and happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
• Assists in lifting patients with proper lifting techniques.
• Cleans wheelchairs and ensures adequate inventory.
• Keeps incident log of transports.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
