Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lees Summit, MO, is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter for evening shifts. You will move patients by wheelchair or transport vehicle, following infection prevention and patient transfer protocols.

Work hours include evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule, with a set, permanent shift. Strong communication with nursing staff is essential to safely protect tubes, lines and patient belongings during transfers.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Move patients by wheel chair or car throughout the hospital.
• Maintain and protect the integrity of patient tubes, lines and collection devices.
• Assist with patient valuables and equipment as needed.
• Communicate with nursing staff to coordinate transfers.

Through manual or computerized job assignments, the Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheel chair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons.**Shift Details:*** **Shift Details:*** 24 Hours a week, rotating schedule* M, W, TH, SA* SU.
