Job summary

Saint Luke’s East seeks a part-time Patient Transporter to move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital, supporting patient flow and staff. You will follow infection prevention methods and ensure safety while protecting tubes, lines, and belongings.

Strong communication with nursing staff is required, with a willingness to ask for help when needed. The role operates on a set, rotating schedule (M-Tue 1415-2245 & Sat 0700-1530) and includes holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of related experience.
• Part-time evening shift availability and rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital.
• Maintain and protect patient's tubes, lines and collection devices.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and seek help when needed.
• Move patient valuables and equipment as required.
• Follow infection prevention techniques during transfers.
