We are hiring immediately for part-time Patient Transporter positions at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, located at 10030 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. More details provided during the interview.

Requirements: Prior customer service experience preferred.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and related items within the hospital.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Transport patients safely, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and ensuring patient comfort.
2. Utilize wheelchairs and other approved equipment for patient transport.
3. Demonstrate competency across all age groups.
4. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and patients.
5. Ensure patient comfort and privacy, avoiding transports in severe pain.
6. Report any patient distress or equipment issues promptly.
7. Maintain and report on equipment condition.
8. Comply with all regulatory standards and hospital policies, including HIPAA.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
