Job summary

Saint Luke’s Hospital at the Plaza is seeking a Patient Transporter to join our team. This role moves patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital, using infection prevention techniques and approved transfer routes to ensure safe, efficient patient movement.

The position is part time (30 hours/week) with Friday 12:00 PM–6:30 PM and Saturday/Sunday 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, plus weekend and holiday rotations. A Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross) is required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.

Responsibilities

• Move patients by wheelchair or car using safe transfer routes.
• Maintain and protect patient tubes, lines and collection devices.
• Move patient valuables and equipment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff to coordinate patient transport.
