Job summary

Community Health Network is hiring a Transportation Aide and Patient Lift Team Member to support patient mobility and safe transport within our facilities. You will work individually or in small teams to assist with patient handling under RN supervision, using proper lifting techniques.

We value caregivers who communicate clearly, collaborate with teams, and show compassion for patients. High school diploma or GED is required, and experience in healthcare settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience as a Transporter, CNA, Patient Support Tech, EMT, etc.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of patient focused care.
• Relationship skills.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Ability to critically think, work semi-independently, multi-task, and work under pressure.
• Ability to demonstrate competence in body mechanics and proper lifting technique.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with transportation and/or patient lifts and other patient handling maneuvers, as delegated by the Manager or Director, in collaboration with a Registered Nurse
• The Transportation Aide and Patient Lift Team Member works individually and/or in a team of no less than two.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Additional Qualifications

• Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to walk, climb/descend stairs, push, pull, bend, squat, and kneel without restrictions.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
