Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Twin Falls is seeking a Patient Transporter for part-time evening shifts (2pm–10:30pm) on Saturdays and Sundays.

Under general supervision, you will safely move patients, supplies, and equipment across our facilities while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include transporting patients to inpatient units, surgery, and radiology; assisting patients with transfers; handling records, specimens, and supplies; maintaining equipment and

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, supplies, and equipment safely throughout the facilities.
• Assists patients into/out of bed and with transfers.
• Retrieves medical records, laboratory specimens, supplies and medications as required.
• Maintains and cleans transport equipment.
• Follows PPE and safety requirements to meet health and safety standards.
• May assist with dispatch coverage and onboarding as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Can Expect

• Part time 2pm-10:30pm Saturday and Sunday
• Twin Falls

The Patient Transporter, under general supervision, is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, supplies, and equipment throughout the facilities.

• Transports patients to and from inpatient units, surgery, therapy, radiology and other areas.
• Will have direct patient contact including, but not limited to, assisting patients into/outof bed, transporting equipment, use of assistive devices, and more to meet the patient needs and clinical efforts to enhance the patient experience.
• Retrieves medical records, laboratory specimens, supplies and medications as required.
• Maintains and cleans transport equipment.
• Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements for protection against exposure to blood, body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation and hazardous substances.
• Adheres to all health and safety requirements in order to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Resolves routine questions, issues and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels.
• May assist with dispatch coverage as needed.
• May participate in interview, training and onboarding process. May partipicate in performance initiatives as needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

This role is subject to St. Luke's driving policy, which requires individuals in this role to not have a record of certain driving-related offenses within the past three (3) years, including but not limited to: Suspension of License, Driving Under the Influence, Reckless or Negligent Driving...

If hired, St. Luke's will conduct a driving records check upon hire and continuously thereafter for individuals hired into this role. Individuals will be required to maintain a valid, current driver's license.
