Saint Luke's East in Lincoln, NE is looking for a part-time Patient Transporter to join our team. You will move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital, ensuring safety and comfort under the guidance of clinical staff.

This set schedule requires availability for evening shifts, with 24 hours per week and holiday rotation. You will work with nursing staff to maintain patient flow and protect patient belongings and equipment.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Good communication with nursing clinical staff is required.

Saint Luke's East seeking a part time Patient Transporter to join our team.

Through manual or computerized job assignments, the Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons.

Shift Details

24 Hours a week, rotating schedule M-Tue 1415-2245 & Sat 0700-1530. This is a set schedule and you must be able to work this shift permanently. Holiday rotation.

The Work

Utilizes infection prevention techniques patient transfer techniques and knowledge of appropriate routes to assure patients are safely and efficiently moved. Good communication with the nursing clinical staff is required. Recognizes when they need to ask for help or continued guidance. Maintains and protects the integrity of patient's tubes lines and collection devices. Will also move patient valuables and equipment.
