The role you’ll contribute:

Facilitates the movement of patients or patient-related items in a professional, efficient, and customer service-oriented manner, using the most expedient method available. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Facilitates the safe, efficient, and expedited movement of patients via stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and cribs.
• Moves patient-related items such as belongings, paperwork, labs, and equipment efficiently.
• Assists in the safe transfer of patients (e.g., bed to stretcher or wheelchair).
• Records transport details accurately in the Transportation EMR system.
• Uses PPE appropriately and follows HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains hallways free of clutter by moving equipment to designated storage areas.
• Completes required competencies annually, including BARE Facts, NPSGs, PPDs, BLS refresher, and department or hospital-specific trainings.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• People Skills: Responds proactively, courteously, and professionally to customer needs
• Communication Skills: Communicates effectively in English with good diction, suitable for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Technical Skills: Operates stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
