Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Patient Transporter to support patient movement, equipment delivery, and bedside assistance across the facility during the evening shift. You will transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to designated sites, assist with transfers, and provide information to patients and visitors.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR HeartSaver certification by orientation, and prior health care experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Or attending High School.
• Licensure / Certification: CPR “ HeartSaver ” Required by the end of orientation.
• Experience: Prior work experience in the health care field preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Ability to lift and transport patients.
• Ability to withstand frequent to prolonged walking, standing, pushing and pulling.

• Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.

• Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
