Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital seeks a dedicated Patient Transporter to move patients safely between units and diagnostic areas. You will assist with transfers, respond to emergencies, and maintain equipment and bed storage areas efficiently.

The role requires reading/writing at 8th grade level, with a preferred HS diploma and 1 year in an acute care setting. Basic Life Support is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at an 8th grade level.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of recent acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transfers, turning and positioning of patients.
• Respond to Code Blue and Code Stroke as directed by clinical staff.
• Transport patients via gurney, bed, or wheelchair.
• Pickup and deliver to Blood Bank and Lab as needed.
• Maintain and organize bed storage areas and equipment.
• Utilize TeleTracking Transport System to maintain productivity.
