Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Patient Transporter for full-time evening shifts. You will help move patients between departments, communicate with patients and families, and support care transitions with proper equipment handling.

The role emphasizes patient safety and efficient transport workflows, with responsibilities that include moving patients by bed, wheelchair, or stretcher and ensuring stretchers and accessories remain clean and ready for use.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist the smooth operation of the Medical Center by coordinating patient movement between departments.
• Transfer patients to and from bed, stretcher, or wheelchair with/without staff assistance based on patient needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of stretchers, wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, and related equipment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

You will assist the smooth running of the Medical Center by efficiently responding to requests for patient movement from one department to another.

What you will do in this role:

• You will participate in direct patient care by communicating with the patient and family, the need for the transport, moving the patient to the required mode of travel and appropriately transitioning care equipment (IV poles, Oxygen lines, cardiac monitoring) from stationary to mobile for the move.
• You will transfer patients to and from bed, stretcher, or wheelchair with or without assistance from clinical staff based upon patient needs
• You will be responsible for department upkeep and cleanliness of stretchers, wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, and ancillary equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
