Job summary

The role requires a High School diploma (or GED), 1 year of customer service experience, CPR/BLS certification preferred, and flexibility to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/AHA/ARC (Upon Hire) (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely transports patients via stretcher, bed or wheelchair.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure proper transition of medication and oxygen.
• Communicates with clinical and non-clinical leaders to escalate safety issues for high-risk patients.
• Obtains equipment and linen needed to transport patients; maintains clean transport gear.
• Adheres to Infection Control policies and HIPAA standards; follows body mechanics guidelines.
• Assists with candidate selection and onboarding; participates in department orientation and training.
• Supports flexible scheduling to meet staffing needs during high census and vacant shifts.

Works to ensure that all transport equipment is cleaned and in good working condition. **What you will do*** Efficiently and safely transports patients via stretcher, bed or wheelchair. This includes collaborating with clinical staff to ensure proper transition of medication and oxygen. Communicates with clinical and non-clinical leaders to escalate potential safety issues and ensure proper precautions are taken for high-risk patients.* Obtains necessary equipment and/or linen required to transport patients.
