Job Description

The Patient Transport Worker is responsible for transporting patients, their belongings, medical records, specimens, and other items within the facility to support patient care. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client needs and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workers.
2. Respond promptly to customer needs.
3. Transport patients, belongings, medical records, specimens, and equipment safely to various areas of the institution.
4. Move patients with traction, IVs, drainage apparatus, oxygen, and other medical devices, excluding blood transfusions.
5. Use electronic devices or computers effectively; notify dispatchers about the status of duties.
6. Verify patient identity using two identifiers according to department procedures.
7. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers into and out of vehicles, adhering to safety standards.
8. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with policies.
9. Transport deceased bodies to the morgue, ensuring proper documentation.
10. Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
11. Comply with Aramark’s operational standards and business conduct policies, maintaining accurate records for compliance.

Qualifications
