Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator. You will operate one or more motor vehicles including trucks and vans with gross weights over 26,000 up to 32,000 pounds, and perform routine pre-trip inspections.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license required.
• Operate trucks and vehicles weighing 26,000–32,000 lbs gross.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Transport passengers, staff, and materials to VA medical center and grounds.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles including trucks and vans as assigned.
• Transport patients, staff, and supplies to and from the medical center and grounds.
• Perform operator maintenance and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Tow equipment as needed and assist Grounds/ Transportation staff.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
