Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Support Technician to assist in Surgical Services. Responsibilities include cleaning and servicing rooms, restocking supplies, and providing basic patient care support across adolescent to geriatric populations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a BLS certification. Prior healthcare experience is preferred and weekend work is not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, post-secondary education or one year work experience.
• One year of experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare-related position.
• Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units.
• Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.
• Performs various tasks and duties to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.
