Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Full-Time Transport Associate for the Centralized Transport team in Hartford. You will move patients and supplies to testing areas using bed, stretcher, or wheelchair within the EPIC workflow.

Responsibilities include responding to beepers, completing EPIC steps, transporting medications, and assisting with safe patient transfers while keeping equipment clean and organized. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and comprehends basic written English instructions.
• Able to comprehend verbal instructions and speak in English.
• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from patient areas and diagnostic/treatment centers using bed, stretcher, or wheelchair in a safe, dignified, and efficient manner.
• Responds to beeper pages or Rover device and completes transport steps in EPIC.
• Transports medications during specified patient transports and assists with patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper stocking of transport equipment.
• Monitors transport wheelchairs, stretchers, and oxygen cylinders and completes yearly competency forms.
