Job summary

Mass General Brigham onsite at 81 Highland Avenue is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and medical equipment safely across departments such as radiology, surgery, and physical therapy. You will assist patients, ensure comfort, and uphold infection control standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, and 1-2 years in a related field is preferred. BLS certification is preferred, with 40 hours per week (day shift).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Or Equivalent Preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in transportation or customer service, preferably healthcare.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Excellent communication, attention to detail, multitasking, infection control, basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients within the healthcare facility, including from rooms to departments such as radiology, surgery, and physical therapy.
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from transportation vehicles, ensuring comfort and well-being.
• Transport medical equipment, supplies, and specimens between departments and storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and care of delicate and sensitive equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols while handling and transporting materials.
• Coordinate transportation requests and schedules to ensure prompt and efficient service.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize transportation needs and accommodate urgent requests.
