Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks an Evening Transporter to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of patients, equipment, and supplies within our healthcare facilities. You will coordinate transportation requests, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high professional standards.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with boarding and disembarking, transporting equipment, and following infection control protocols while prioritizing urgent requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in transportation, healthcare or customer service environment 1-2 years preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients within the healthcare facility, including to radiology, surgery, and physical therapy.
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from transportation vehicles.
• Transport medical equipment, supplies, and specimens between departments and storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and care of delicate and sensitive equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols while handling and transporting materials.
• Coordinate transportation requests and schedules to ensure prompt and efficient service.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize transportation needs and accommodate urgent requests.
