Riverside Health in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Transporter to safely move patients, belongings, and charts to testing sites, the operating room, or discharge areas.

You will collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe transitions of medication and oxygen, maintain clean transport equipment, and uphold HIPAA and infection control standards. Weekend shifts are required. Riverside Health offers comprehensive benefits and onboarding.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year Experience working with the public in a customer service capacity or related (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Transport patients safely via stretcher, bed or wheelchair.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper transition of medication and oxygen.
• Escalate potential safety issues to leaders for high-risk patients.
• Obtain equipment and linen needed to transport patients.
• Ensure transport equipment is clean per Infection Control policies.
• Assist with candidate selection and new team member onboarding to include department orientation and training.
• Assist patients, family members, and visitors with directions and help as needed.
