Job summary

Hialeah Hospital is seeking a patient transporter to move patients across hospital areas in a courteous and professional manner. Responsibilities include transporting patients of all ages, maintaining equipment, and assisting with pediatric transports under nursing supervision.

The role may include clerical or film file room duties and requires walking for extended periods, with schedule flexibility and a focus on patient safety and PR.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated once job duties are learned and should be able to work with minimal supervision.
• HS graduate or equivalent.
• Transporting experience preferred.
• Must be able to walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients of all ages to and from all sub-sections areas of the hospital in a friendly, professional and ethical manner.
• Maintains transport equipment.
• Transport pediatric patients with the attendance of nursing personnel.
• May be crossed trained to perform clerical and film file room duties.
• Consults clerical receptionist and or/technical supervisor for priority transporting.
• Schedule flexibility.
