Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to support patient mobility and safety across our Pembroke Pines, Florida facilities. You will assist with lift assists, transfers from wheelchairs and stretchers, and transport patients and equipment to designated areas, ensuring compassionate care for patients and families.

No prior experience required; a High School Diploma and BLS certification are needed, with training provided for required duties and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS ECARD certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients.
• Assist patients entering and exiting vehicles, including transfers from wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or neuro chair to designated sites as requested.
• Greet and provide information/directions to patients and visitors.
• Deliver equipment to requesting staff or department.
• Assist staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
