Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Hospital Transport Aide to join our team, providing safe, courteous transport for patients within inpatient areas. You will transfer patients to appropriate transport modes and work with hospital staff to ensure efficient service while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Daily duties emphasize initiative, communication, and collaboration with care providers. Flexible, consistent coverage supports patient care needs in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to problem-solve using good communication and people skills.
• Strong verbal communication, customer relations, and listening skills are essential.
• Must be able to promote and maintain good customer relations and patient confidentiality.
• Must be trained in and demonstrate proficiency in clinical procedures, infection control practices, body mechanics and transfer training.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of patients including those with speech and hearing impairments.

Responsibilities
