Job summary

Boston Medical Center South is seeking a Patient Transporter to support the patient care team by delivering prompt, courteous transport services for patients, visitors and colleagues. The role focuses on safe, efficient movement of patients within the hospital and collaboration across departments to ensure a high standard of service.

The position is part-time (24 hours) with shifts 7am–3:30pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at Boston Medical Center South.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6-12 months of customer service or hospital experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift without any limitations.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Transport patients within the hospital and assist with related tasks.
• Foster collaboration among team members and other departments to support service excellence.
