Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Westborough, MA is seeking a Driver for the Inpatient Admissions Office. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 10:00am–6:30pm. Pay rate: $21.00/hour. Responsibilities include transporting clients to treatment facilities, performing safety checks, and maintaining vehicle documentation.

Requirements: high school diploma or GED, valid license, clean driving record, and strong written/oral communication. Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must display the use appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, staff and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Driving agency vehicles to meet program needs.
• Transporting clients to assigned treatment facilities for interviews, medical appointments, and other program/client related issues.
• Demonstrating respect for supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
• Working with the Facility Coordinator regarding preventive maintenance for Campus vehicles.
• Conducting daily safety checks and appropriate documentation before driving Campus vehicles.
• Demonstrating the use appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Responding to all life safety maintenance issues in a timely fashion.
• Following all organizational and regulatory guidelines regarding the use of agency vehicles and transporting clients.
• Demonstrating honesty and integrity at all times in the care of the clients and the use of the facility property.
• Consistently arriving for work on time and adhering to the program’s attendance policies.
• Strictly adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for client information or copies of information.
