Job summary

Talentify seeks a patient transport driver to move patients safely between facilities, with continuous observation and respectful interaction to support care. You will follow procedures to ensure safety and confidentiality while maintaining professional boundaries.

You will adhere to traffic laws, keep logs updated, communicate with supervisory staff, and assist with basic care tasks as directed, in a fast-paced California healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Licensure: Valid CA driver’s license and current medical examination.
• Must be 21+ and have a good DMV driving record.
• Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days.
• CPR training provided in-house.
• May require flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Obey all traffic laws while driving company vehicles.
• Report van maintenance problems to the Transportation Supervisor and Outpatient Manager.
• Maintain the van log with updated addresses and phone numbers.
• Communicate with the Outpatient Manager and staff about patient care issues.
• Provide meals to patients as assigned from the cafeteria.
• Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times.
• Demonstrate responsibility and sound judgment for patient safety.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries at all times.
• Address patients, visitors, and co-workers in a pleasant, respectful manner.
• Adhere to facility and departmental policies and procedures.
• Attend mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities.
• Adhere to conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality standards.
• Support quality and performance improvement goals.
• Maintain confidentiality of employees and patient information.
• Follow established procedures and therapeutic boundaries consistently.
