Job summary

University of California - Irvine Health seeks a Patient Transport Supervisor reporting to the Capacity Manager. Lead the Lift and Transport Team, provide hands-on leadership, training, timekeeping, and performance coaching to ensure safe patient handling.

You will coordinate patient movement across the campus, prioritize assignments, monitor workflow, and mitigate delays to optimize throughput while maintaining a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Proficient in Epic transport systems.
• Must be available to work overtime as patient care needs demand.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare environment or training in a healthcare/emergency/rescue field.
• Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, daily oversight, and coordination for the Lift and Transport Team, including training, timekeeping, counseling and corrective action.
• Act as a working leader to assist direct patient care providers in proper patient handling and safe throughput.
• Monitor workflow, anticipate delays, and prioritize assignments to support efficient patient movement.
