Job summary

The County of Santa Clara seeks a part-time Night shift Patient Transport Dispatcher to coordinate and monitor patient transport requests at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. You will dispatch timely assignments and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures across sites as needed.

You will support nursing and other departments, maintain transport records, and may lead or train staff. A high school diploma and two years of patient transport experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Two years of patient transportation experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate and monitor transport activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitors transport functions and patient transporters for timely completion.
• Prioritizes dispatching assignments to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinates transport activities with nursing and other departments.
• Maintains accurate transport records and prints reports upon request.
• May lead and train new staff; may serve as Disaster Service Worker.
