  • 3 months of experience in a public-facing role, preferably in healthcare.
  • 1 year as a patient transporter or 6 months as lead transporter.
  • 2 years of post-secondary education or 1 year of leadership experience may substitute.

Job description

Regions Hospital is seeking a Lead Patient Transporter to join our team!

Our Patient Transporters provides assistance with direction in prioritizing and coordinating the workflow of the Transport staff. Assigns duties as necessary to accomplish completion of daily functions. Performs all Lead Transporter functions as necessary.Performs other duties as assigned.

Work schedule: 1.0 (40 hrs. weekly) Evening Shift

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Prefer three months of experience in working with the public, preferably in a health care setting.

  • One (1) year experience as a patient transporter or six (6) months experience working out of class as lead transporter.
  • Two (2) years of post-secondary education or one year (1) of other leadership experience (lead, supervisor or manager) will substitute for lacking transport experience.
