MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a Patient Equipment Transport Services Technician to safely move patients and clinical equipment throughout the hospital. You will support nursing staff, maintain equipment, and ensure timely, quality service in a fast-paced health system.

The role offers day shifts with 0.9 FTE, challenging problem-solving opportunities, and a patient-centered environment where teamwork and safety come first.

Competenze

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Successful completion of in-house training program on patient lift and mobility within 6 months of placement.
• One year of previous transport or related healthcare experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Transport patients, beds, oxygen, supplies and equipment safely across the facility.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients between beds, chairs, wheelchairs, stretchers and other transport equipment.
• Respond to patient fall codes by transporting lift equipment and assisting nursing staff as required.
• Maintain clinical equipment by adhering to manufacturers' cleaning protocols.
• Partner with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making abilities.
• Effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to work duties.
• Deliver supplies and equipment to requesting departments and confirm receipt of items.
• Collect soiled equipment and follow infection prevention guidelines.
