Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking aSterile Processing professional for the SMMC HOSP department. Building B at St Marys Medical Center houses the Sterile Processing team and related logistics.

The role is 0.9 FTE with a Day/Eve rotation. Shifts start at 5:00am or 9:00am and end at 2:30pm or 5:30pm, with no holidays and no call obligations. Union: SMSVW Local 70; compensation range listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Help distribute Sterile Processing equipment and supplies throughout the campus.
• Assist with transporting patients of all ages, supplies, and equipment.
• Be responsible for the safe performance of mechanically appropriate patient lifts.
• Communicate to staff any special needs encountered before, during, or after the lifting of a particular patient, especially those regarding potential safety issues.
