Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to serve at St. Mary’s Hospital in Superior, Wisconsin.

This role involves reprocessing reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment for use in surgery and throughout nursing units, with a focus on safety and sterility. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, day shifts with no weekends or on-call requirements, and shifts rotate within listed start times.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification within 2 years of hire (Tech I) or CRCST/CBSPD certification (Tech II).
• Experience in sterile processing or healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment for surgery and nursing units.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are clean, safe, and sterile for staff use.
• Follow infection prevention and sterilization processes and document inspections.
