Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR – Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient transports within set departmental standards.
• Performs patient transport and handles equipment processing and distribution.
• Ensures equipment is functional and properly tagged for Clinical Engineering.
• Delivers non-functional equipment to CE and charges batteries as needed.
• Documents patient movements accurately and notifies the responsible nurse prior to transports.
• Assists with lifting and maneuvering patients using hospital lift devices and adherence to safety policies.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment used in transport and follows infection control guidelines.
