Job summary

MyMichigan Health seeks a patient transporter/dispatcher to move patients, equipment, and records across the medical center. This role includes coordinating runs, ensuring timely transfers to OR/PACU, and maintaining daily stats.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, be able to communicate well with patients and staff, and complete OSHA training annually. BLS and aggression management certifications are required within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Computer knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate successfully with patients, family and staff required.
• Mandatory OSHA training must be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout the medical center, including to satellite centers and operating areas.
• Transport supplies, equipment, specimens, and medical records within the medical center.
• Work as dispatcher and prioritize runs based on patient needs; maintain good communication.
